FAQ

Q. Do you have a minimum order?
A. We are happy to supply any quantity.

Q. How long do you take to deliver?
A. We turn jobs round as fast as possible, depending on the quantity required – a delivery date will be given as soon as you have decided what you would like to order.

Q. Can you provide samples?
A. Yes, logo samples can be done free of charge, garment samples are charged at the normal rate.

Q. Can you originate my Design for me?
A. Yes, we can work from your own artwork or simple text.

Q. Do I have to pay a set-up cost if I have already got the art-work?
A. Yes a set price of £25. To operate an embroidery machine your artwork has to be turned into one of several embroidery machine formats. This is a skilled job and is one of the main elements of high quality embroidery.

This can be negotiated if ordering large quantities.

Q. Copyright?
A. COPYRIGHT: It is taken as implicit in the acceptance of all embroidery, printing and any other form of personalisation or decoration that the customer is either the copyright holder or the authorised user licensed by the copyright holder and that the customer will indemnify Embroidery Depot in full against any claims for infringement that may arise.

Please make sure if you are using someones logo that you have had permission from the Company or Person who owns it.

Q. How much do original designs cost to set up?
A. It depends on your logo. It usually costs somewhere between £35-45 to set up an average design the first time you use it. Much cheaper than setting up for screen-printing. A more accurate cost can be given when we receive your design. This will include the above set up cost above.

Q. What format should I send my artwork?
A. You can send your logo in either a JPG or EPS format (150dpi or higher), stating the size required for the overall design (width x height) in centimetres. You can send it by email if you like.

Q. What fonts do you have?
A. We have a lot of fonts and can also use fonts from places such as http://www.fontfreak.com, but allow time for us to trial the font first to see if we can embroider using the chosen font. If you have a logo and do have the font used avaliable then please supply the the font, this allows us to produce a better design as the digitising software would treat a picture different to an actual font.

Q. Can I use the Design again?
A. Yes, once your design is set up you can re-order as many times as you like, placing your design on any garment, without paying the original set up costs again.

Q. I already have my design on disk, can you use it without charging a set up fee?
A. Yes, if it is in PES or DST embroidery formats.

Q. I only want the name of my Company on the garments - do I have to pay for a design set-up?
A. No, we do not charge a set up fee for standard text only designs.

Q. Do your prices include embroidery?
A. Our prices include the embroidery, but design and embroidery costs are dependent on the clients requirements and subject to change or additional charges depending on detail and size..

Q. I have got my own garments will you embroider them for me?
A. Yes, prices for embroidery only are available on request. e.g. Two lines of text costs only £3.50 per garment.

We are quite happy to embroider customer’s own garments, but please note that we can take no responsibility if, in the rare event, a garment is damaged by one of our embroidery machines. The customer should ensure that when sending garments to us for embroidery sufficient postage has been paid otherwise the package will not be accepted. Embroidery Depot takes no responsibility for packages not received therefore the customer should ensure that the garments are sufficiently insured. All carriage costs for the return of the garments will be borne by the customer.

Q. Do you do children’s sizes?
A. Yes, most of the garments can be supplied in children’s sizes, from infants upwards. Details are available in the catalogue.

Q. Can you embroider caps?
A. Yes, we can embroider front and back.

Q. When do I have to pay?
A. Payment must be made when placing your order. (Sample approved first)

Q. Do you have a printed catalogue?
A. Yes – printed catalogues are available on request at a cost of £5.00 each plus P&P. (Sorry out of stock please use online catalogue)

Q. How much do you charge for postage?
A. All goods are delivered first class by Royal Mail or via courier, the cost calculated by the weight in the usual way, subject to a minimum charge of £6.50.

Q. What is your cancellation policy?
A. Once an order has been placed and the sample approved by you, orders cannot be cancelled due to the personalised nature of our products.

Q. Delivery
A. Times quoted for delivery are approximate roughly between (10-15 days). Whilst every effort will be made to deliver orders on the date requested this may neither be taken as implying any legal obligation to deliver on the due date nor any reason for with holding payment. The Company must be notified in writing of any shortages within 14 days of delivery.
